This came to us in a lot of vintage & antique hats varying in age from the 1920s-1950s. Feather hats were most popular in the Victorian & Edwardian days, but made another comeback in the 1930s-1950s! Unfortunately, this hats has no tags, so the age is undetermined..perhaps a treasure in the lot! And the style is ready to come back again!
There are a few 'loose' or missing feathers and may need minor reforming based on fit (refer to photos), but otherwise perfect condition. The size is smaller, it measures 20 1/2" but was meant to not fit snug, but to be worn in the classic pillbox style in 'one size fits all' fashion. (these were typically pinned for style).
Based on other similar items, we believe the feathers to be pheasant.
