VTG Original Louie Miller Model by CAROL Brown Felt Pillbox Hat. A band of bows surround the crown of the hat adds subtle charm. An excellent way to add a touch of vintage glamour to your look. Elegant and fun of the 1920s style fashion could be a casual day out or a formal event. Inside it is trimmed with ribbon and tags "Carol, body made in Italy and Original Louie Miller Model tag. This pillbox hat is really unique and rare. This style of hat often represented a symbolic rejection of the previous ideals and image of femininity. This cap flatters all women because of its classic style. Condition is very good, a couple tiny nibbles on the underneath side of rim. The inner dia is 21 3/4" x 4 1/4" D x 9" x 8" rim to rim. The hat should fit a size 7. The brim has a slight slope to it. Weight 3 oz.
The Louie Miller School of Millinery operated out of Chicago, Illinois, from the 1920s-1960s. I could not find any info on the Carol label.
