The Tech-Air® 5 PLASMA is the newest evolution in Alpinestars’ airbag technology—lightweight, slim, and designed for maximum protection without compromising comfort. Built to slip discreetly under any riding jacket, it feels virtually invisible while giving you full upper-body coverage: chest, ribs, back, and shoulders.
Equipped with an integrated PLASMA back protector, this system combines flexibility, ventilation, and impact absorption in one streamlined design. It’s 25% lighter than the standard Tech-Air® 5, weighing just 1,530g, making it the lightest Tech-Air® system to date.
With three selectable riding modes—STREET, OFF-ROAD, and RACE—the system adapts to your style of riding. A single gas canister powers the airbag with faster inflation and easy replacement, while the modular build allows for quick disassembly, cleaning, and maintenance.
