Arnart Creations, later Arnart Imports , Fifth Avenue (1953-2001) was an importer of figurines, artware and china located in New York. Most of their imports like china, were made in Japan, later Taiwan in the style of antique famous Porcelain potteries.
This Duo is created in the Royal Vienna Style European porcelain designs of earlier centuries. The design shows a chocolate Cup and matching Saucer with gold gilt accent and intricate gold handle. There is a full wide border approx. one inch, depicting Fragonard love stories (Courting Couple motif), Pastoral and romantic scenes. The precision of the lines is not perfect, but has a charming touch to it.
All pieces show the Arnart shield/beehive and 1455 L markings in gold. Please see all pictures. Very good condition, no chips, cracks or crazing. The gold rims show some light imperfections.
