Made with multiple layers of patterned dichroic. Rich shades of gold, dark rusty red with light blue edging, then capped with clear for incredible depth.
Wrapped with square and hand twisted 14k gold filled wire.
Pendant measures 2in. high (including bail) by ¾ of an inch wide.
The bail is large enough to accommodate a 2-3mm. Chain or cord.
This piece was entirely hand crafted by me in my home studio!
The glass cabochons are made by layering dichroic glass bits on a ceramic shelf then placed in a kiln and fired. The cab is cooled, more dichroic is added, then re-fired. This is repeated multiple times for incredible depth and color play....(unless a special technique or otherwise specified ).
The cabochon is then wrapped using 4 - 6 feet of wire in a secure cage style setting.
