I am selling this elegant antique oval serving platter made in France by Haviland in the early 1900s (the backmark was used between 1894-1931). The pattern is Schleiger 1125, a simple white porcelain design with double-banded gold trim.
This piece is an ideal serving platter for cuts of meat or vegetables. The simple design matches well with virtually any china pattern, or stands alone nicely. It features two bands of gold trim around the rim, the outer band wide and the inner band narrow. It is in excellent condition for its age, with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Very light surface scratches consistent with regular use.
