Unsure of exact date; though I think "1950s" is most likely correct
One thing I know for certain is that it is WORKING VERY WELL
A quite heavy-duty and otherwise high-quality piece; as far as old tin toys go

CONDITION: USED...
TOY is generally very clean and winds and works well. It looks slightly faded on the top and has some small nicks and fine scratching scattered about.
BOX is sturdy and functional, but exhibits the pictured slight warping and denting and light spotty staining. End/closure flaps are all intact/connected, but most have tears where they connect with the box.
