Silver Handmade Vintage Ring

This is a beautiful vintage silver ring that I found in a jewelry box full of different pieces of silver jewelry that was left to me from my late aunt. This ring had a little piece of paper folded &wrapped around the base. The paper had handwritten man's name and the date 1973. I will never know what the paper meant who the name was and if the ring was from 1973. It's obvious that the ring was handmade and it is genuine silver. I'm not sure if that's 925 or Sterling because I can't seem to find a mark anywhere. As is the ring measures size 9 but I believe it's adjustable because it's open-ended. I have not tried to bend or open the ring and I have not cleaned it which I believe would make a big difference in the finish. It's a really beautiful unique piece it weighs 13 g. I wish I knew more about the history but unfortunately I don't. Feel free to ask questions thanks.
