Raised acanthus leaves, roses and scrolls decorate this metal Art Nouveau jewelry casket. Even the four feet are decorated with leaves. The box is a soft matte gold inside and out. It is missing a lining (see "Note" below). Condition: there is a missing part to the hinge, but the lid still opens and closes nicely. There is minor loss to the gold color. Dimensions: 3 inches high, 3½ inches deep, and 7¾ inches long. This casket is circa 1900-1910 and would be an outstanding classic and/or shabby addition to your (or her) boudoir!
