This figurine is over 5.25" tall and has no cracks, chips, crazing or blemishes, it is in MINT Condition. The trademark (TMK 2 Full Bee) places the manufacture of this piece Circa 1949 – 1959. It was designed by master sculptor Arthur Moeller in 1937.
Sister Maria had a love of children, and a whimsical nature, sketching them in various situations. As always, Sister Maria draws to depict the daily items and special events in children's lives. This young girl going to school with pig tails, carrying a basket and her backpack is one of the most popular figurines in the Hummel collection.
