This necklace comes from my personal collection. Dates back to the early 1800s Victorian Era. Hand carved rosettes made of natural jet will circle your neck. This piece is in excellent antique condition. None of the jet beads are cracked, split, or damaged. Jet is very lightweight, petrified wood. It is very common to see breaks, splits, and cracks in mourning jewelry made with petrified jet. The original clasp has a nice click and stays secure. This beautiful piece of history deserves to be worn, and it shows magnificently. Each rosette is unique as each bead was hand carved and strung.
