A true treasure from the Taisho era, this antique Nippon dragonware coffee pot is a stunning example of early 20th-century Japanese porcelain craftsmanship. Standing 9" tall with a curvaceous silhouette, this piece is richly hand-painted in the moriage enamel technique, featuring a bold dragon in raised white and gold slip with vivid blue, teal, and pink accents. The glaze fades in soft swirls of smoke and fire, while the dotted rim and ornate finial lid complete the look of myth and majesty.
Marked with the blue "Hand Painted Nippon" pagoda stamp, used between 1910–1921.
