Vittorio Vighi (Bologna 1927 - Rome 2008) was born cartoonist: from an early age he began to draw cartoons, In the late 1940s he began to send his cartoons to newspapers. after finishing law studies, he moved to Rome and worked for a long time as a humorous-satirical designer for the glorious newspaper 'Marc'Aurelio'. The late 1950s to mid-1970s he was a screenwriter for cinema and later as an author for radio and tv. But the activity of cartoonist was never completely abandoned: it was in the 1969/70s in fact that La Lupa, his most famous work, and parodies of the characters of ancient Rome were created.
