History of Boyd’s: From 1978 to 2014, glass made the old fashioned way...a man and a mold, one piece at a time. John Dagenhart started the glass business in 1947. After John’s death in 1964 his wife Elizabeth ran it until her death in 1978. Everything was sold to Bernard C. Boyd and his son, starting Boyd’s Crystal Art Glass. The Boyd’s continued the tradition of quality hand pressed glass in Cambridge, Ohio until closing in 2014.
