This towel is from 1982. While it doesn't have any stains, rips or tears, it DOES have very worn down fibers and threading in certain areas throughout the towel. I tried to show a few pictures of it.
The e in Nantucket on the bottom has a loose thread, shown.
It also has a very slight storage smell. I did wash the towel thinking it would get better but it's about the same. You can't notice it unless you put your nose directly to the towel. It may need further deodorizer in the wash.
This is such a fun towel that deserves a new life.
100% cotton.
