I recently have been sourcing some fantastic pieces from a New York City 'buyer'. She and her team source high-end dresses other unique pieces directly from factories abroad and then will show them to their various boutique stores in the city who decide what to order for their stores and what brand label to use.
These 'samples' therefore do not have known brand labels. Sometimes they have sample brand names and often do not have sizes either, since each country uses different scales.
The item is new, unworn, and very unique…in some cases, orders for the line were placed and in some cases it wasn't what the store was looking for.
So while the dress does not have a Saks or Bloomingdale's label, you can rest assured that these "samples" are truly amazing finds and I'm thrilled to bring them to you…if you ask a friend in NYC if they have ever gone to 'Sample-Sales" they will confirm how it works.
