Men SEIKO Vintage 1965 Sportsmatic Seahorse 17 j Mechanical Set & AutoWind Rare#

This is a Seiko Sportsmatic Seahorse from 1965. It has a feature I have not seen, and have been told that there is no such thing as a 9 digit serial # 50000249. The number is clear and conforms with all its digits and there is no evidence of alteration. The case is stainless steel and measures 35mm in diameter. The dial is one of Seiko's radiant silver sunburst type and is protected by a perfect raised crystal. The case back shows the Seahorse as well as the serial # and the movement and case type. The movement is a Seiko workhorse, the 7625, which is an all alloy, no plastic, 17 jewels balance protected Autowind unit. These hardy movements can be endlessly serviced, and has had a recent service and keeps decent time for a watch of the era. The bracelet is a genuine Seiko piece, is in the Oyster style in stainless steel with a Z-Deployment clasp. This Seiko looks new on the wrist and fits equally as a collectors piece or a daily wearer
