1. While the Dead often jammed and weaved through improvisation, this show featured a particularly interesting sequence because they played "Attics of My Life" into a psychedelic exploration of "Dark Star" before returning to "Attics", then launched into the classic "Playin' in the Band." This kind of extended jam with thematic connections isn't something they did every night.

2. Several band members are noted for exceptional playing this night with Phil Lesh and Jerry Garcia's duet on "Built To Last" considered to be a career highlight, and many music reviews mentioning Bob Weir being particularly engaged on "Stuck Inside of Mobile" with Garcia's guitar work complementing vocals.

*1989 was during a period where the band was still touring extensively and considered to be in their best musical form.
