A gorgeous Pleiochroic Blue Purple Iolite from Sri Lanka. This is one of the nicest Iolites I have ever had the pleasure to see in person. It is masterfully cut to show a graceful purple blue pleiochroism. It has an elegant color and luster to it. You can see why they call them water Sapphire when you look at this gem in person; It plays with the light in a beautiful way very similar to a cornflower blue Sapphire.
