A bold statement brooch designed and manufactured by Coro. You'll see it dated in the 1950s, but I do believe it is from the outgoing period of the late 1960s!: Back when we were making strong statements with our fashions and jewelry.
Unfortunately, I found this wonderful piece in need of some extra cleaning and loving. Several small rhinestones were missing so I researched the original colors and replaced the stones appropriately with vintage Swarovski crystals. It is as beautiful as ever, but reduced price because of the repair. Your win.
The company was started at the beginning of the twentieth century by
Emanuel Cohn and Carl Rosenberger; hence, Co-Ro, or Coro.
Although the original founders passed, the company was run by family until 1969. This brooch could be one of the last produced of the company and I found it to be rare when I researched.
