This is a handcrafted model version of the Wahaika war club weapon. Made by the Native Woodcraft company in Dannevirke, New Zealand. This is a vintage item made somewhere in the 1980s-1990s. The are some minor scratches but overall in good condition. This type of weapon was originally used by the Māori people who are the indigenous people of New Zealand. They are a Polynesian ethnic group who arrived in the country by canoe from the Pacific Islands around 1200 AD.
