Zanesville Stoneware Company was in business from the late 19th century through the 1960s. They have a solid reputation in the arts and crafts movement when they changed over from just utilitarian ware to art pottery. Large pieces can be hard to come by, and the lush Matte green favorited by enthusiasts is a wonderful offering. This lady is clearly stamped 37. She is 12 inches tall, 4 inches across the rim, and weighs a marvelous 5.06 lbs. There are a few easily cleaned rub marks, but no chips, flakes, or even crazing!
