For sale is an authentic 1794 Prussian Silver Thaler, struck during the reign of Friedrich Wilhelm II, King of Prussia from 1786–1797. This large silver coin is a hallmark of 18th-century German States coinage and one of the predecessors to the modern German Mark.
The obverse features a detailed bust of the king with the legend:
“FRIED. WILHELM KOENIG VON PREUSSEN”
The reverse showcases the crowned Prussian coat of arms flanked by two male supporters with the date 1794 and denomination EIN THALER.
