Custom Breyer Stockoceros Prehistoric Pronghorn Antelope paleoart

I love prehistoric mammals, and I love that North America used to have multiple species of antelocaprid, while the pronghorn is the lone representative of that family today. This model started as Breyer's traditional scale pronghorn (the same size as a traditional scale Breyer horse); I sanded and filled seams and removed the Breyer logo, and carved the nostrils, mouth, and hooves. I removed the old horns and resculpted ones that better match Stockoceros fossils' bone horn cores. While the paint job, done in earth pigments, acrylics, and colored pencils, echoes today's pronghorn colors, I made this specimen somewhat more melanistic. The eyes, nostrils, mouth, horns, and hooves are glossed. The last photo shows him next to his little Capromeryx buddy, another prehistoric pronghorn I customized.

He does have a few VERY minor imperfections, as is common with anything made by hand, but he would be a stunning addition to any Breyer pronghorn conga or paleoart collection.
