Owl inlaid with mother of pearl for the face and stomach, the cowrie shell that gives color, is inlaid for the wings and chest, and a small turquoise for the tail. Simple but effective design that evokes the image of the wise old owl. The owl measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 inch. Not marked but tested positive for sterling silver. The brown leather tie shows some loss of color and wear, but because of this it matches the colors in the owl. The leather tie measures a total of 36 inches. The clasp on the back works well and tight. Original untouched patina leaving the polishing to the preference of the buyer.
