Signed Revolutionary War WIA Capt William Lee who lost his leg at the Battle Guilford Court-house SC while fighting British General Cornwallis' elite soldiers. The signature is a cut from a period document and 100% guaranteed to pass any third party authentication process such as JSA or PSA. The provenance of the signature is from a long-time historic document dealer out of the Chicago area.
WILLIAM LEE (1747-1803) in 1780 was made a prisoner of war by the British and sent to St. Augustine with forty other prominent patriots. Commanded the True Blue Company of South Carolina and participated in the 1781 Battle of Guilford Courthouse against Cornwallis. He was badly wounded, losing a leg.
On March 15, 1781, British General Charles Lord Cornwallis’s army of 2,100 men engaged a Continental army under Major General Nathanael Greene at Guilford Court House, near present day Greensboro, North Carolina.
