History of the World War, Frank H. Simonds, Illustrated Antique Books 1917-1920

Bright, textured navy-blue cloth hardbound boards with debossed gold gilt text and coat of arms on the cover, and on the spine, and including a debossed border on front cover. All the volumes have slight cosmetic blemishes to the front and rear boards but boards, spine and corners show very minimal edge wear, no sun fading, and with all corners sharp (with only a touch of wear at the tips). The top and bottom of the back strips have some creases. The spine and hinges are firmly attached to the decorative endpapers, straight with no slanting. Text block is firm with gold gilt along the top edge. Some age tanning throughout. The interior pages are in very good condition with no tears, chips, cracks and or previous owner markings.
