Very rare vintage road rally stopwatch! Hanhart is a well-known European time-piece maker. We contacted them for more info, and their stopwatch dept. had never seen it before, but confirmed the winged Hanhart logo was from the '70s, so it is about 50 years old!
We searched online extensively and found only 2 others: a much rougher one for sale on a German website for 215 euros (about 200$), and one mounted on a small wooden plaque with a racetrack and time that recently sold as part of a 25 stopwatch collection for approximately 3200$. So only 3 known to exist...online!
This chronometer features a stainless steel metal case, shockproof, 7 jewel lever stopwatch with separate dials for minutes, seconds, and tenths. Extremely hard to find, especially in this excellent condition! Works great!
Made in Germany. Comes with new brass whistle with cord, made in Korea. Perfect for any coach, driving or sporting enthusiast!
