September 2002: My wife and I were having wine and dinner in a nice restaurant in Burlington, NJ, when I saw this beauty staring at me from her perch over on a side table. I had to have her, so I talked the owner into selling her to me. We have always thought of her as the protectress of our art collection. Shes heavier than she looks, and I figured a burglar might take her for solid gold and steal her instead of a priceless painting. Now I'm selling off the collection and, though it's bittersweet, I've decided to let her grace someone else's home for a while.
Ceramic with 24 karat gold leaf on a mahogany block, c. 2002. She's 10 1/2" high by 6" wide and 4 inches deep. Block is 7" x 6" x 2.5". Total height 13".
The first three pages in the photos were given to me at the time of purchase. The last page is an update of Rigby's exhibitions I found on the internet.
