Vintage Mary Gage hand wrought sterling silver and chalcedony brooch pin
Mary Gage born in 1898 opened her silversmith shop in New York in the 1920’s
Her beautiful silver work earned her a prominent place among artists of the Arts & Crafts movement
Mary was self taught and learned her craft by working with other artists in Greenwich Village
Her work is very identifiable. She used complex wire frames, lily pad & leaf motifs, silver balls, turquoise and other precious stones.
Each of her pieces were hand crafted and therefore one of a kind, which lends to the value
