19th Century Belle Epoque Sculpture of Woman Carrying Basket with Hen

This 19th century bronzed spelter sculpture depicts a woman carrying a hen in a basket. Although, the piece is unsigned it has indicative elements of Auguste Moreau, a master of capturing sculptural snapshots of peoples daily activities. The sculpture’s dimension are 14.75”H x 5.5”W x 4"D. The base of the sculpture is a part of the main structure and comes with the original protective bottom material layer on which the sculpture stands.

CIRCA: Late 19th Century
CONDITION: Antique, good with use commensurate with the age of the piece. No known damage.
