I relish getting Col. Tibbets' view of things, and the historical record he provides. Most refreshing, especially after the Smithsonian's original debacle displaying the aircraft. I had the pleasure of flying with a member of the crew, Col. (at the time) Tom Ferebee, years after, as I was checking out as a brand new copilot in a B-52. In addition, I became acquainted with a gentleman who had worked in the hangar at Pyote Air Base as a young enlisted man when the plane as modified for its mission. Those facts added considerably to the historical interest.
