The Forney 1/8" E312-16 Stainless Steel Welding Electrode is an "easy all steel" specialty welding electrode. It is the most effective rod for most steel grades and can be used with any stick electrode power source. You can't short the arc because it's so ionized. In terms of tensile strength and elongation, the E312-16 welding rod is outstanding. Even someone with no welding experience can use it. Welding abrasions with heat- and corrosion-resistant steel is a common application. For horizontal fillet welds, this welding electrode is perfect.
