The CyberPower ST425 is a standby uninterruptible power supply that keeps essential electronics running long enough for you to save work and power down safely when the lights go out. It combines battery backup with surge protection, giving you a practical way to guard computers, home networking gear, streaming devices, and other sensitive equipment from sudden outages and voltage spikes.

The unit offers eight total outlets. Four outlets provide both battery backup and surge protection, so a desktop PC, monitor, and modem can ride through a blackout without immediate shutdown. The remaining four outlets deliver surge protection only, which is ideal for peripherals such as printers or desk lamps that do not need battery power but still benefit from over-voltage defense.

An 890-joule surge rating shields connected devices from power surges, while a 260-watt output capacity supplies enough energy for a typical workstation or small home entertainment setup. At full load, the battery keeps equipment running for about 1.5 minutes, plenty of time to save files and shut down properly. Once power returns, the battery reaches a full recharge in roughly eight hours, ensuring the system is ready for the next event.
