QNAP QM2 M.2 SATA SSD PCIe Expansion Card

The QNAP QM2-2S-220A is a PCIe Gen2 x2 expansion card that lets a compatible QNAP NAS or a Windows or Linux workstation host two M.2 SATA solid state drives. By connecting flash storage directly to the PCIe bus, the card creates a fast cache or tier that accelerates file transfers, backups, and database work.

Each socket accepts 2280 and 22110 length drives. You can join the drives in RAID 0 for higher throughput or in RAID 1 for data redundancy. Inside a QNAP NAS, the card also works with Qtier so frequently accessed files automatically move to the SSDs while colder data stays on hard disks.

Good thermal control keeps performance steady. A real time sensor tracks drive temperatures, and an aluminum cooling module with a smart fan increases airflow only when needed.
