Once the tablet is seated, the dock opens up a range of connections that are often missing on mobile devices. Two USB 3.0 ports handle high-speed data transfers for external drives or solid-state storage. Two additional USB 2.0 ports are ready for peripherals that do not need as much bandwidth, such as keyboards, mice, label printers, or barcode scanners. Dual HDMI outputs let you run one or two external monitors at up to 4K resolution, making large spreadsheets, mapping software, or real-time dashboards easier to view.

For workplaces that rely on wired infrastructure, the built-in RJ-45 LAN port delivers a stable network link that avoids the congestion and variability of wireless connections. A legacy serial port supports equipment like specialized sensors, diagnostic tools, or industrial controllers that still communicate over RS-232. Physical security is covered by an integrated Kensington lock slot, allowing the dock to be secured to a desk, cart, or kiosk stand.

The FZ-VEBG21U does not include an AC adapter and it is not intended for battery charging or audio output, so power and sound should be handled through existing Toughbook accessories or separate solutions.
