The Tripp Lite BPEXT481 is a one foot extension cable that lets you place a compatible Tripp Lite 48 volt UPS and its external battery pack exactly where they fit best inside a rack. By giving you an extra 0.3 meters of reach between the two Blue 175 amp DC connectors, it removes the usual placement limits and helps you build a cleaner, more accessible installation.

This short length is especially helpful when you are using a SMART5000XFMRXL UPS and a BP48V24-2U battery pack in a front mounted four post rack. Instead of forcing the heavy components to sit side by side, you can separate them across different rack units, improve airflow, and still keep the DC link rock solid.

The cable relies on two six-gauge conductors protected by a black jacket. The thick copper conductors keep resistance low so the UPS can draw high current without voltage drop, while the keyed blue connectors snap firmly into place and will not mate with the wrong voltage system. As a result, you get a safe, reliable path for power whether you manage a busy data center, a network closet on campus, or an edge computing cabinet in the field.

Installation is straightforward. Disconnect power, attach the Blue 175 amp plug on one end to the UPS, attach the matching plug on the other end to the battery pack, and restore power.
