The APC SCL500RM1UC is a Lithium-ion Smart-UPS that delivers 500 volt-amps and 400 watts of pure sine wave power, giving servers, switches, and point-of-sale terminals the backup time they need when mains power falters. The 1U chassis has a short depth, so it installs easily in shallow network closets or edge computing racks where space is at a premium.

The built-in Lithium-ion battery is engineered for eight to ten years of service, roughly twice the life of a traditional lead-acid unit. Fewer battery changes translate into lower maintenance costs and less downtime. When replacement is finally required, the battery module slides out from the front and can be swapped while the UPS continues to power attached gear.

Four NEMA 5-15R outlets on the rear panel handle up to 400 watts of load, and a NEMA 5-15P input cord lets you plug into a standard 120 volt receptacle. Integrated surge suppression rated at 680 joules helps protect devices from spikes, and cold-start capability lets you bring systems online even if utility power is not yet available.

For remote visibility, the SmartConnect Ethernet port links the UPS to the APC cloud and sends real-time status, firmware updates, and proactive alerts to your inbox or management dashboard. On site, an LED front panel and audible alarms give immediate feedback to technicians.
