The Shure SLXD5=-J52 is a receiver that handles one channel and uses digital wireless transmission. It mounts directly on a camera or sits comfortably in an audio bag and operates in the J52 UHF band from 558 to 602 MHz and 614 to 616 MHz.

Thanks to 24 bit conversion, a frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and a dynamic range of 118 dB, dialogue and ambient sound come through with clarity and headroom. A latency figure of only 3.2 ms keeps audio in lockstep with picture, an advantage when you need tight sync for interviews, run and gun shooting, or live streaming.

Digital predictive switching diversity analyzes the incoming RF signal and switches antennas before a dropout can occur. With 1840 selectable frequencies inside a 46 MHz tuning window and the ability to run up to 32 systems at once in the same band, the SLXD5=-J52 adapts easily to congested spectrum. Multi Mic Mode and an infrared sync function simplify frequency coordination across a multi camera or multi recorder rig.

Power comes from two AA batteries for quick swaps in the field, or from the optional SB903 rechargeable pack when you want extended runtimes and battery telemetry. The receiver ships with a cold shoe attachment and cable clips so you can secure it to a DSLR, mirrorless body, or camcorder, and its compact profile also slides into a mixer bag without adding unnecessary bulk.
