The ELAC UF52-BK is a floorstanding speaker that brings the Uni-Fi 2.0 engineering philosophy to full-range listening. Built as a true three-way system, it combines a 1 inch soft-dome tweeter that sits concentrically inside a 4 inch aluminum midrange driver with three 5.25 inch aluminum woofers. Low frequencies are handled by the trio of aluminum woofers working in a carefully braced MDF cabinet. Internal bracing stiffens the enclosure, so unwanted vibration stays out of the music, while rear-firing bass-reflex ports let the speaker reach down to 42 hertz without sounding bloated. This precise, fast bass makes the UF52 a strong match for both energetic rock tracks and film soundtracks rich with low-end effects.

The six-ohm load and 85 dB sensitivity mean most quality AV receivers or dedicated stereo amplifiers rated between 40 and 140 watts will drive the speaker confidently.
