The Aruba R4H18A is an outdoor access point that extends Wi-Fi 6 coverage to stadium seating, school campuses, parking facilities, and any wide-open site that refuses to fit inside four walls. It draws on the same technology Aruba uses indoors, then wraps it in an IP67 housing that seals out dust, driving rain, and temperatures from -40 to 65 °C.

It provides up to 6 Gbps of aggregate throughput across the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands and uses a 4x4 MU-MIMO radio design to keep up to 512 clients per radio moving without stalls. Built-in omni-directional antennas with up to 5 dBi of gain eliminate the need for external antenna kits and simplify mounting.

Beyond Wi-Fi, the access point includes Bluetooth 5 and Zigbee radios to connect IoT sensors, lights, or beacons, making it easy to deploy location services or smart facilities without extra gateways. WPA3 encryption defends every connection, and Aruba's Air Match and Air Slice features apply AI to optimize the airwaves and prioritize critical traffic automatically.

Installation is straightforward. A single PoE++ cable can feed both power and 2.5 GbE backhaul, and a second 1 GbE port is available when you want link aggregation for additional capacity or redundancy. Once online, the unit can be managed through Aruba Central cloud or the local controller you already use, so day-to-day operations stay familiar.
