Torquay Pottery was produced in various potteries in Torquay, Devon, starting with the Watcombe pottery in 1869. The saying on the pitcher "Deuparth rhodd yw ewyllys" is a Welsh proverb translated as "Two- thirds of a gift is the giver's goodwill". Pitcher is 5in. tall, 4in. wide (with spout & handle)with a 2in. pot opening. I found no cracks or chips but there is some crazing from age (see photo # 9)
